A rare image inside 1727 N. McCadden Place circa 1937. The front bar where more traditional drinks were made rather than the “Rhum Rhapsodies” which were made in the back of the house. As you can see by the stool shadows, the light for this picture was a bit overdone and the upper left is totally blown out. This makes the picture pretty useless for book purposes. I also scanned it at super high resolution hoping to ID the bottle behind the bar and the detail is mostly not there.
One interesting item is what looks like an intercom in the center on the bottom shelf. A wood box with a hole which might be a speaker/mic and a couple of buttons or knobs. That is Dagger Run on the right of course.
